Fredericksburg Academic Boosters administers a unique, extensive scholarship program. Through an application process that considers financial need and the ability to do college work, students are funded through 4 years of higher education. Recipients must re-apply each year after meeting certain grade and minimum hour requirements. Each student is assigned a mentor to assist with concerns that may arise during their educational process. Currently, the Fund is supporting 15 students. Scholarships given rely on grass roots fund raising efforts and vary from year to year depending upon the success of those efforts. To date, more than 75 students have benefited from this effort that has raised more than $375,000 since 1998.
