Wildseed Farms, the nation's largest working wildflower farm, opens its colorful location seven days a week for a variety of fun-filled activities and adventures. In addition to seasonally-blooming wildflower fields and nature experences like the new "Butterfly Gardens", Wildseed Farms is one of the best places in the Hill Country to shop for gifts, plants, pottery, ladies' fun fashions, specialty foods, Texas wines and (of course) wildflower seed and wildflower seed mixtures for every region of the country! While the ladies shop, the gentlemen may choose to hang out in the Brew-Bonnet Biergarten or the Plaza surrounded by flower fields and sip a cold brew or have a glass of wine.
Several festivals are held throughout the year at Wildseed Farms, and one of the favorites is "Wildflower Celebration", held during April and scheduled to coincide with the best possible blooming season in the Texas Hill Country. Mid-September brings the "Gourmet Chili Pepper & Salsa Festival", which features hot peppers, hot spicy food vendors, hot recipes prepared by local chefs, hot air balloons, and hot live bands performing onstage make for a "hot" time at Wildseed Farms! At Wildseed Farms the motto "Come for the flowers; stay for the atmosphere!" prevails. Drop by to see what's up and stay for as long as you would like! Located off of Highway 290 seven miles east of Fredericksburg, Wildseed Farms is open seven days a week from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm (summer daylight savings time hours; 5pm druing winter months). Spring and summer months are best for blooming wildflowers, fall is planting season (and the time to purchase wildflower seeds for yards and meadows of your own) and the SHOPPING is GREAT year round!

Welcome to Fredericksburg Farms. We're a real farm outside of Fredericksburg. Like most farms nowadays, we wear a lot of different hats. First, there's our nursery operation where we grow all kinds of the most gorgeous seasonal plants and herbs you've ever seen in our eight greenhouses. Our little enterprise also grows beautiful poinsettias in a variety of colors, and Easter lilies, as well as gorgeous zonal geraniums. Our staff benefits from our large, organic garden planted seasonally with tomatoes, beans, several varieties of squash, greens, asparagus, cucumbers, lettuces, beets, peas, okra, eggplant, and other vegetables. Our flock of free-range chickens provides all-natural eggs. We're living our lives as close to nature as we can and our products extend the opportunity for all-natural eating to our customers. At Fredericksburg Farms we're embracing the whole concept of natural living inspired by our own seasonal vegetable gardens. We also produce a line of mighty fine tasting all-natural food products - grilling & barbecue sauces, salsas & queso, jellies & preserves, syrups, condiments, hot sauces, chili mixes, bread mixes, and dip & rub mixes.
